i can see where that makes sense in theory, but it isn't really necessary in reality*. as long as the angle is roughly the same as stock, the OE balljoints will be able to freely move (their range of movement allows for a surprising amount of misalignment. never measured it, but my guess is it's probably in the range of 25-45 degrees)
*on drift/street cars. on a rally car with lots of suspension travel, this would be a very serious angle to consider

Since I mentioned them here is a picture of the original SLR kit with the welded steel arms
For those of you who think that looks sketchy, Sean had a pretty big off in testing with the first V1 kit and the arm bent predictably and did not break. Welds were plenty strong

10/10 still looks like shit, but i'd say it looks much less so with paint

after paint:
so i decided to take the car for a drive today... got alot of looks. not sure if they were good or bad - my bet would've typically be on bad... until i noticed that this gorgeous m3 started following me. didn't take a picture (still have a dumb phone) but the car was pretty much identical to this (didn't even know they made these in sedans)
anyway, he ended up following me for about 10 minutes as i drove through this lake road to a parking lot with a dope ass view of the loch raven reservoir. he didn't pull in, but he stopped and threw me two enthusiastic thumbs ups... so maybe the car doesn't look that bad? i don't know. suppose it could've been a tech from the local stealership taking the car on an extended test drive or something. regardless, i was pretty stoked that someone in a $90k(?) car thought my POS was cool.

You're delusional... That looks horrible.....
you could fit a 235 on an 8.25" wheel or you could run good 215s. A 215 star spec has the same grip or more as a 235 mediocre tire. You certainly don't need a 9.5" wheel with -13 offset to fit 235s.
Car looks hideous and like you're trying to be different for the sake of being different

I tried explaining that, didn't work. Crazy carpet flares is life

I feel like this is worthy of an Xzibit meme.. but I won't go there.
it I just had to.
In all seriousness, I don't know why you're attempting this other than you have some crazy idea/vision in your head. Keep up with it man, lets see what this turns into.

Fender look hideous :x
Question though, what is length difference between e46 Arms and SLR Super arms?
are those a v1 set of big duck club overs? i just sold the last set we had here actually to a guy in Baltimore
i'm not that guy, but i guess they could be v1 BDC fenders - bought them second hand about 6 months ago, the seller said they were felony form but who knows
