    Another Vanos issue

Hey guys, I'm new here and just bought my first bmw last week! Absolutely love it! The only issue I'm having is with a p0012 and p0015 code. From some of the threads I've read I decided to start by changing the oil (royal purple 5-30) and replacing both Vanos solenoids. No luck. Still got the codes with the ses light. It will clear and stay off for a day but it will sort of stumble after a few hours when it goes to idle when coming to a stop and that will set off the ses. Just wondering where to go from here. Thinking of moving to the camshaft sensor? Just to clarify, it is a 2007 530xi with approx 120000 miles. Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to the whole bmw brand but after owning this car for a week, I'm hooked! Thanks guys!

The problem appears to be the intake cam only. Check the high pressure hose that sits behind the oil filter. See if it's leaking. Also, scheme the electrical connection at the intake can position sensor (CPS).

How does the engine run? Does it seem sluggish at higher revs?
