    Fuel gauge won;t work ( BMW E36,320I )

    Hello everybody,
I'm new on the this amazing forum and i would like to ask you something, any help, advice will be highly appreciated.
Recently i added some chrome rings on my tachometer ( 4 of them )fuel gauge speedometer rpm, and temp..
The chrome ring for the fuel gauge was a little bit small so i had to spin the needle manually at 12 o clock in order to be able to fit the ring. After i set the tachometer back on the car, i turned the ignition key on and i saw that the fuel gauge doesn;t work at all.The needle is stuck and it wont move at all even tough i can clearely see is nothing in his way.
My bottom question is : even tough the needle doesn't move, the warning light will still go on telling me that im running on reserve fuel?
any advice-answers will be highly appreciated, guys .With all due respect,Bogdan
    P.S.sorry for my gramatical mistakes.

    Bump.
Can one of you guys help Bogdan out?
    I'm an E39 guy, no real experience with a E36 320.
    Thanks.
