528i HUD Need new windshield

Just purchsed a CPO 2014 528i MSport pkg. Crack in the windshield. Needs to be replaced. Dealer gave me credit to do the work. Question....do I have to get a special BMW windshield due to the HUD?

So, the service adviser at original dealer said he didn't "think" it needed to be specifically BMW. But to check with replacement sup[plier to make sure it doesn't nullify warranty. thoughts?

If you have insurance, I would ask them for recommendation, and confirm with the install company that you need oem windshield.

I would have the dealer replace it for the credit they gave you.
