Gotta love how things change. OBD1 conversions used to be the thing to do. Now its the other way around....

I just converted a 95 m3 to obd2. Let me know if you have any questions. It's well worth it imo

You need to pull the cel wire from the x6031 connector and splice it into the x20 pin 8 I believe. There are a few other wires that need to be spliced into the x20 as well. Also need to add a power source for the data link connector with a 10 amp fuse and the same for the obd2 diagnostic port (the one that's located by the drivers left foot in obd2 cars. That same connector needs to have the k-line hooked up to it from the engine wiring harness (comes from the 20 pin round diagnostic port, forget what pin off the top of my head). Then the two grounds have to be grounded somewhere. I'll update the build thread soon with pics and better info soon when I have a minute. This is the thread I'll be updating:

Please make a detailed write up! I am def. Interested in the swap on my 95 m3 with an s50. I couldn't find a whole lot of info when I looked it up a while ago. Only obd2 to obd1. Sorry for the off topic OP!
