E60 550 vs my E430 w210

Before you tell me that this 550i wasnt 550i it was i saw the badge on trunk i even looked up the license plate because i couldnt belive it myself... 4.8 engine with 354hp. But too the race, me and my Gf where at this car meeting here in Iceland when we where driving home i saw this amazing e60 bmw infront of me by couple of cars so i decide to try to race him i got next to him on the red light noticed 3 guys and 550i badge on trunk my first thougt was im gonna get smoked because my friends s2000 can't even beat 530i 232hp...
As soon as the light goes green him and i go at first my Esp blinks but i'm still neck to neck with him! As the speed goes up until around 130kmh or so i was close to 1meter infront with my hood then we both brake, the driver in the driver in 550i looked happy that i actually kept up, so when we get to next lights i see them doing something in the dash then i hear the mighty V8 roar as he is using Launch Control, damn beautiful sound! Light goes green he immediately gets 1 and half car on me then the space between us didnt change until higher rpms in 3rd in my E430 where it really shines i slowly got closer, gap was now 1 car lenght him infront then he let off! Then got behind me to see what type of w210 i was driving, I'm really surprized that the 550i didnt walk me, maybe needs drivers mod? I know they can do what mid 13's in 1/4?

I am 233lbs.... The guy in back looked like 15 year old, front passenger mid 30's not very tall but the driver looked tall and quiet bulky

It may not be the fastest.. But it had decent power, especially for streets of Iceland, if i lived somewhere else where its highway i would love to have e39 M5 or even E60 M5.

I'd love to have either car as Asa daily driver. Speed wise though, they're not the best. The 430 or the 550i lol. 550 is a high to mid 13's car I believe, slower with passengers ofcourse.

E430 is at least a full second slower in the 1/4 mile and is lucky to trap low 90s.

To be fair, if I am lined up next to what I consider a slower car, I'm not going to try very hard, but if I get beat, I'm gonna smoke you at the next light! It sounds like this is what happened. The other driver also sounds like he was a good sport about it, and you both had a little fun, so it's all good!

The E430 is very reliable, but the w210 body rusts wayyy to much! I am really thinking about selling it to get 540 e39.

Yeah we had a blast! But i really do know stock 550 wiill win me in the 1/4 mile also if we would go higher in speed i think this 550i would have walked away slowly!

Didn't notice you're in Iceland. Around there I'm sure it's enough to beat most things. In North America you need at least 400hp daily if you want to be quicker than most cars. C63's here are like C250's out there.

E39 540 V8 is better than the W210 430's V8 but they can have a lot more issues at higher mileage if not maintained properly compared to the Benz.

My W210 was dead reliable, no complaints there.
