I was hoping to pick up a car while I was down there but I just don't feel like driving the 1K miles back up on the sellers word that it "has been a reliable car so far."

Yesterday I sorted out my Nussbaum trim. I had to replace the CD flap and the bit above the glovebox. The CD Flap was a slightly different shade of brown and it really didn't match the new glove box piece. I ended up fixing the broken peg on my original GB strip and reinstalled it despite having a crack in the finish. At least it matches better. #OCDsucks.

Replaced thrust arms, lower control arms, sway bar links, tie rods, and both front calipers. Still get the shake when hitting the brakes from highway speeds. Need to try and rebed the brakes and hopefully it goes away.

How's the rear control arms and ball joints?

I will be overhauling the rear soon but that's not the cause of the vibration I am feeling. I can only feel it in the brake pedal and steering wheel which would indicate its something up front, and not in the rear.

I had a similar shaking problem.
Centerlink. Replaced and there's 90% less shaking while braking at highway speeds.

Best I can get right now of the fan clutch.
I didn't get a brand new one but it was working fine on the car I got it from. 2001 530..did a little sleuthing and the model numbers match. But here is the new problem. This is steady no matter the RPMs or cold start. First 90 seconds after a cold start fan is engaged as it should be. But I'm not sure wtf is going on now

Replaced my a/c compressor old one was no good hopefully this one works. Also drained the whole coolant system had been running with water only for test purpose, wanted to be 100% on no leaks. Filled with BMW blue antifreeze and KTMP is still at 93c while driving and it only gets up to 95c while sitting. Now just have to figure out my clutch issue really hope that it's air trapped somewhere. These cars are a love hate relationship one day I love it and the next I hate especially when I'm stumped with an issue.....

Dont replace, get em turned for $40 at Orileys. My OEM rotors last forever, but thats cuz I drive stick and brake hardly ever

Went to get a/c system vac/charged and clutch slave cylinder gave out. Drove the car home with no clutch and replaced with a new slave cylinder. Did the whole bleeding system three different ways with no luck I think MC is bad so that getting replaced today also. Car is parked in the garage for now....... to be cont.

Did you use the slave cylinder holding tool that keeps the rod compressed while bleeding? I've discovered this is pretty much a necessity.

I did some serious headlight restoration and still need to do the other headlight. I have used all sorts of kits that are just not enough so today on my day off I bought 1000, 1500, and 2000 sand paper. I removed the headlights, brought them to my room turned on netflix and just went to town on them. Took 3 hours for the one and just taking a lunch break now. Finished product on right.

Honestly what tool, I did advance search and none mention a special tool. Can you post a pic and part number for it. Oh yeah how do you use it. I honestly want this perfect getting discouraged with driving my baby if this keeps up. Any help blacknight530i I would even pay you a rental fee for that tool if I can't find it and it's a must..... IJS
