    suggestions for replacement hydro lifters

    As title states. Im doing a reco on my m50b25 head and just want to know what lifters you guys have used. Ive also heard you can use vw lifters with an m50. Does anyone have info on this?

    There are some eBay lifters for under $200. <---wouldn't trust, or OEM for $25/each or supertech for $400-500. Open your wallet, or reuse them. If one ever fails, pop the cover, pull the cams and replace. They are easy to find when they fail.

    Hydraulic lifters almost NEVER fail. 99% of the time they gunk up, and its just a matter of taking them apart them and cleaning. If you have the money to replace them, spend the money on INA. Lifters arent something you wanna experiment with, with ebay parts.

    Sheesh. I can't get rid of my litters. I have four cams worth just sitting in a bucket of oil....

    Well i have the head in bits and im taking it all in to get cleaned at a shop. Just didn't want to skimp. So just replace timing chains and guides? Everything else should be fine?

    Not at all. Pretty simple. I have chased down a few tickers for forum members here in New England.

    You have the timing cover off ?

    The entire engine has been taken apart. Bottom end fully rebuild/stroked
