I have a 2009 750Li and I believe the variable valve timing solenoids are bad in bank 2. I'm wondering if I should replace them with OEM solenoids or aftermarket...??
Love that generation of 7 series... personally, I would not use anything aftermarket in the engine, particularly something that controls a fairly critical component such as the valve timing system. But if the cost difference is huge enough to justify considering aftermarket (aka 1/2 cheaper, not $5-10 cheaper), I would consider non-OEM if they are from the same manufacturer as the OEM parts. Sometimes the same part from the same manufacturer will sell for more just because it was put in a box with BMW written on it.
There is a subforum for your specific model here but not sure how active it is: http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/fo...2009-(F01-F02)
