BMW e36 323 convertible roof stuck

Hi. The roof to my convertible e36 is stuck with about a foot gap at the front. It stopped working yesterday. I have the red light above the switch flashing but nothing will happen when I press the button. Could anyone help me on how to fix this problem.

Remove the access cover and close it manually. Should be a 4 or 5 mm allen.

Where is the access cover ?

I believe you need to reach under the backseat and you pull a handle. The cover in the center upper part of the convertible can be removed and there should be a tool in the glovebox to manually close the top.
