08 328i has a miss

We are looking at purchasing an 08 328i. But it has a problem and was wandering what you guys thought. After it warms up, if you turn the air conditioner off it has a miss or a surge if that makes sense. I am not a mechanic by any means. The check engine light came on. Just weird that it runs fine with the air conditioner on, but if you turn it off the engine has a prominent surge to it. Any ideas????

I strongly suggest you get a PPI done(pre-purchase inspection) by a BMW specialist mechanic before you buy. Especially with this car that you are considering, as it obviously has some issues.
