Expectations of a Dealership Sold Used Car

    Hi Everyone

I'm a newbie today but you all seem like a sound bunch so was hoping to ask a question.

We're look at buying a used BMW fleet car from a BMW dealership here in the UK

It's less than 2 years old and done the expected mileage for the model and age of car.

I'm just wondering if you could advise me as to what condition we should expect the car to be in? Should things like little scratches be on the paintwork or would you expect them to be buffed out? We understand that it can be a disciplinary matter for BMW employees to abuse their company cars, so should we expect the car to be immaculate?!

    Thanking you in advance

    Dolly

It's a 2-year-old used car and will be in a condition reflecting that reality.

That's not to say that the glass should be cracked and the paint ruined, but some imperfections here and there are to be expected.

If I was buying a 2 year car, I'd expect it to immaculate, but I'd also expect that to be reflected in the price. If it's beat up a little, I'd also expect that to be reflected in the price.

As to your expectations about a used dealership, if they're still there, that's a good sign.
Not so much a signature as a cry for help.

Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.

I don't understand... It's 2 years old... If it had too many scratches why not just move on to the next car?? If you want perfect don't buy used..

Buy a really nice older one, stick a few grand in the bank for repairs and you will be happier.
