I never even new this car existed before today. Looks almost like a toy.

They were euro-market only but some are now eligible under the 25 year import rule

Not really my cup of tea, but certainly a rare car and a cool piece of history

Opening the doors is weird in that car, even in a sea or odd ways to open a car door I think it's probably unique.

The car doors retract downward into the car, to open.

The panels are also all removable. As I recall BMW intended people to be able to customize them to suit each buyer



Interestingly, almost every panel is removable on Z3's and I think Z4's... not sure if it was inspired from this car or a side-effect of production methods but pretty cool

Wheeler Dealers did one of these. The panels are all removable, but definitely not in the time frame that bmw originally intended. Supposedly you could buy all the panels in a different color and swap them easily.
