Big money don't scare us and fat chicks turn us on........ Das schapenwagen

It’s been a long time coming, this has been in the works for three years, and I have much larger plans but due to much coercion I will make a build thread. I will try and document everything fully for anyone reading this.

    Back Story:
I started out in 2012 with a built engine and an AA twin-screw blower never even installed either because Luke G`s build thread and Iding made me a killer deal on a hunk of maximum psi turbo manifold. I had just moved and began buying the remaining parts I needed, traded all those parts for other parts and so on.

Mid 2013 I was about to start installing all these parts and got a job offer from Germany, I immediately sold tons of parts to fund the excursion. Returning to school near the end of 2014 I ordered the remaining parts I needed, sold other parts.. Began learning how to tune, bought a tig welder and that brings us up to date.
When I got back I had decided I wanted to turbo this car even if it meant stock engine and low boost.

I will be very interested to see how you like that .68 ar T4 turbine housing. So far I love mine. I took some flack for that choice.

Can I ask why you chose .68 T4?

Lunch Break update, Everything un-installed. Diff bolt is still stuck in the differential and has not been inspected at all.

Well I asked for a t4 .81 3.5" but they didnt have any in and my time schedule said i couldnt wait.
Then I got to thinking about it and this is really an ~800+ hp turbo so running a .68 ar will only reduce that some. With this housing its still probably a 700 hp turbo with a good torque curve.

I also laid the first weld on the exhaust trying out the foot pedal.... what a good purchase.

If the engine is in the car, do yourself a favor and pull it out. It will take all of 2 hours and change and really will make the rest of the install including the actual turbo a breeze.

Half kidding but if the engine is in the car get a back brace. I've always found it easier to install headers if the car is about a foot off the ground.

1/4" drive might be useful on some of those studs instead of that bulky 3/8"

It'll take far less time to install the manifold than it will to remove and install the engine.

That being said it's much easier to install everything with the engine out, but I wouldn't do that. It'd be quicker to pull the head.

With my Otisfold I found it was easier to jack the motor up some. Gave me better access.

That oil drain flange looks great. Does it have an AN male fitting on the other side?

Any pictures of the 2007 manifold?

i knew the thread was missing something.

Partied too hard last night moving slow again today...

Got the injectors in and the vacuum nipples installed and epoxied. My drain fitting isnt going to work.... Im running out of options and really dont want to weld the fitting to the pan.

A handful of my parts never showed up so it will be next week before im finished.

Don't weld the oil drain line to the pan. Use the drain plug in the oil pan. I welded my drain line on and the distance is too short. You end up with a kink in the drain hose. It's a really odd angle
