Will E31 850i Wheels fit without rubbing?

Wondering if any of the E3 pilots out there have E31 16" (71/2JX16 ET:15) - Will these clear the strut and wheel arch?

Should. I've seen 16's and 17's on E3's before but not 18's. Check offset.

I run 17x8 wheels with 215/45/17 tires. The wheels have a 20mm offset. My car is also a '73, sitting on ST springs and HD Bilstiens.

The only time I ever had any issues was when a wheel weight mounted on the wheel would hit the strut on sharp left turns. Just relocated the weight and no issues since. The tire is very close to the strut, within 3/8 of an inch.

I don't know how the 5mm less offset and 1/2" less wheel width that you have affects the situation. If there are any issues you could always run a 5mm spacer to move the wheel a little further out.

Here's how my car sits if you need a visual reference.
