    2001 BMW 740il sedan

    trunk lid

    I have a 2001 740IL and when I took the battery out to have it checked I accidently locked my key in the trunk. Is there anyway to get into the trunk without opening the trunk lid. Battery is out of the car so the button inside does not work. Only key is locked in the trunk. Can you take out the back seat to access the trunk?

    Jump start the car via the terminals under the hood, then open the trunk.


    As a side note, you probably want to ask future questions like this in the appropriate sub-forum. This particular sub-forum is related to the forum's software... not cars.
