after working on both brands I say MB all the way. if you want a road hugging carver then buy BMW. If you want to be able to drive car everyday without issues buy MB. if you want to drive your car 1 week and it stay in the shop for 1 week, buy a BMW.

Drive your Mercedes as hard as you drive your BMW and you will spend as much time in the workshop with the Mercedes as with BMW. This is my experience...

It all depends on what your driving style and needs are.

It totally depends on your driving style, and the need of buying such a luxurious car. Now repairing and maintenance cost of Mercedes is much more as compared with BMW. And also there are many latest models of BMW and even much more are on the way to launch, hence have wide chance to select one as per your desire.
But my personal suggestion will be not to buy a new car Mercedes or BMW for the first, better to buy a used car at the beginning and have your experience and then you buy any one.
