So I was reading BMW magazine and they had a great article on the 3 series and its 40th birthday, worth a look as the bmw magazine app is free on itunes.

They mention near the end of the article that the 3 series with the retractible roof has been discontinued? (Back to soft top possibly??) and if you have one hang on to it as it will be a classic.

So if you have one, look after it if you can and keep it if you can too...

Yes and no. The 3 series convertible just becames the 4 series convertible since the 3 series is all sedans now. I don't expect this to have any effect on future values of current 3 series convertibles.
