    I 3D printed a thing - e30 Center Vent Gauge Pod!

I picked up a fucking cool looking Stewart Warner oil pressure gauge and decided to make a mount for it.

This was printed out of nylon, which is a real pain in the ass to work with sometimes. I have a spool of black ABS coming in today. Provided I can get my settings tweaked and get the ABS printing smoothly, I can get a much better surface finish and hopefully no warping.

I'll probably end up doing something like this for my brother's e36 and my e82 as well

You did a really nice job on that. I don't think I'd chose to block the air rather than get a column mounted one, but if I did, that's a really clean way to do it.

You're right the ABS should come out a bit better (watch the fumes) and you can acetone polish it when you're done to smooth it out further.

    What printer are you using?

That's much better than all the other vent gauges since it still allows the vent to function. Finally a vent that won't be floppy either
