I need some internal computer program help.
I had a valve job on my 1999 528i. My mechanic replaced the timing chains, tensioners, both cam shaft sensors etc. The check engine light continues to come on after clearing it. The car runs fine except for the engine light staying on and I need to get it inspected. My mechanic has done everything he can think of and has contacted several experts to no avail. Does anyone know of a way to read/program the parameters in the computer to increase acceptable parameter range so the engine light will stay off?
Thanks in advance for your assistance. James.
Yeah, it's called fix the problem that's causing the light.. Or continue with the current situation of paying your mechanic to fix things that might turn off the light.
