    AA exhaust E36 M3

I am thinking of picking up a used AA exhaust and I noticed some what looks like rust/discoloration. Can this be cleaned and buffed to look like new again? Has anyone experienced this?

What did you use on the piping? Sand paper and Windex? Then Mother's polish? Steel Wool is not working. I got the tips in good condition. I just would like to restore all the piping and kinda quick.
