    improvments

    Probing the board for recommendations on improving throttle response and HP/Torque on a 92 5251 5 speed. What do you suggest?

    Poor throttle response

    This problem was the result from worn sparkplug boots. The energy from the coil packs were bypassing going down around the spark plug insetad of going through them. This was displayed by a light brown ring around the base of the porcelain. I replaced all 6 boots and used plenty of electric grease and the difference in the performance is now felt in the seat of my pants. I now get 1, & 2 gear scratch which is pretty cool considering this war is a dog. I am now getting 24mpg instead of 20. I hope this helps someone
