Hey everyone,
I am posting here because I have been working on trading up from a paperclip to a house. And I just traded a Honda Elite 80 scooter for a 1991 BMW 525i.
I rented a uhaul trailer, drove three hours one way to get it. I went into it knowing that it was beat up, needed some love. But he didn't tell me about the transmission, we had to push it onto the ramp. I was reading that it could be just low fluid. But I don't have a floor jack right now to get under there and fill it up.
The engine does start right up, and thats the reason I am not totally bummed out about it.
I am coming to the forum to see if theres anyone out there that takes these cars as parts cars. Or people that fix them up and use them as race cars. I am trying to trade up to a house. And im looking for advice on where to pitch this, or to see if anyone in this forum is interested.
Thanks for reading.

That is a neat project, I remember seeing a story on the news probably 10 or so years ago of someone whom did about the same thing, starting with a paperclip.
Just to make certain I am reading it correctly, this car has an automatic transmission and it doesn't move at all in any gear?
You might try asking on the e34 sub forum. The 1991 5 series is known as the e34 chassis if you didn't know. Here is a link to the forum: http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/fo...1996-%28E34%29
