Hello y'all
I'm passively looking for a new car to replace my dying Volvo. I found a 2008 BMW 328xi 6MT wagon with 71k km (~44k mi) for $16k CAN ($12k USD). I was wondering if I decide to get it, what would be the steps to bring it over and how much would it cost to change the guages and climate controls (and any others) to the English system?

Closest low miles manual sport wagon in the US is in New Jersey (2006 325xi with 48k mi for $18k). Even with import duties, some cars may be cheaper to import assuming it doesn't cost a fortune to swap an US spec gauge cluster. I'm not in a hurry to find a car but I will be keeping this option on the table.

Provided the exact model was sold in the US, importing shouldn't be a huge issue. You'll want to call the applicable government agencies to ensure there won't be any surprises though - Customs is the least of your issues... that is just getting it here... EPA/DOT are going to be the big ones.
