Adding heated seats, is it feasible?

I have two BMW 3 series convertibles that I really enjoy. One is a 2001 330ci, the other one is a 2005 330ci with the ZHP performance package. I know this sounds crazy, living in a southern climate, but I would like to add heated seats to one of them.
Is this practical or even possible? If so, what all would it entail?

Buy heated seats and add them, if the car-side harness doesn't include the wiring for the heated seats, you'll need to run a couple extra wires for the switch. Or remove the seat cover and add a seat heating pad.

It can be done, there are a few write ups online. Ran into this online with a quick search.

No it is most definitely an option.

Somebody on ZHPMafia retrofitted heating components into his seats. It can be done. Seems like too much work to me.

I had a set of those in one of my cars, for the first year they work great, the second year they kind of work, by the third winter both of them were dead so I threw them out.
