Post 1987 325i coupe hp and specs?

Hi i've done some research and just want to know because i've come across a few different answers. Does the 1987 325 coupe have 121hp or does it have 168hp. If anyone could comment and let me know that'd be great thanks.

    Depends on the letter that comes after the 325. A 325 or 325e has a 121hp 2.7l M20B27 6cyl engine. The 325i or 325is had a 168hp 2.5l M20B25 6cyl engine.

One easy way to look and see which model you are dealing with is to look at the tach, if it stops at 5 you have a 325 or 325e, if it goes to 7k rpm you are looking at a 325i or 325is (disclaimer: sometimes gauge clusters can be swapped)

I have carburetors, and I'm not afraid to use them!

Thanks i'm not sure if I want this car now, it's the 2.7l so it's probably pretty slow.
    Appreciate the feedback

My first E30 was a 325e with a 5spd, Its not fast but its still plenty of fun in the turns. Also an excellent highway driver due to its taller gearing.
