    Question cyclone Separator

    I have a 2001 X5 3.0, and it has 220 plus miles on it.would like to know what is a cyclone separator where it is and do you think is time to change it? Thank you so much for your assistance .

    It's the CCV.
    It's under the intake manifold.
    Probably would be wise to have it exchanged.
    It's a PIA, so if you are not "mechanical", an independent BMW shop can handle it.
    You can save some real money on the parts by ordering the CCV and its associated hoses from somewhere like Pelican Parts.
