Xpel or Plasti Dip for protection?

First time posting so sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

Just got my 2012 528xi and I am looking at some protection for the front end. Where I live I get a lot of rocks flying up. On my previous car I went through 3 windshields in 6 months. I have an appointment to get my windows tinted and the place also offers Xpel clear bras and I am considering either a partial or full wrap. I am also considering doing a clear layer of Plasti Dip with some gloss over top.

From my understanding the cost of the dip would be much cheaper that the clear bra but I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these and what the amount of protection is for each? The other advantage with the dip is it is easily fixed and can be easily removed or color changed if I should decide. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Please dont dip a brand new car... I love plasti dip for a lot of things but it leaves lots of residue and crap everywhere in every little crack...

The only proper way to correct good paint on a new car is clear paint protection film.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I will be having the Xpel film done with a full front. I guess "buy once, cry once".
