    Help with amp hookup?

Hey all, I just purchased 2 12' subwoofers and an amplifier and have it hooked up as of yesterday but currently have to unplug the amp each time I shut the car off so it doesn't drain the battery. I am trying to connect it to the radio wiring but am not sure which wire I am looking for. I read a few forums stating I needed to look for the remote wire but had trouble finding that. Is it possible to connect to the a different wire or fuse? Help would be much appreciated.

There's a white or off white wire that turns on the oem amp. You need to tap into that wire and route it to the new amp.

    Hi,

From your question/post, it sounds as though you don't have much experience or confidence in doing 12V electronics wiring. Did you use the correct gauge wiring and use correctly rated protection and fusing?

I strongly suggest you take the car to a local reputable car electronics installer and have them do the work both correctly and most importantly, safely for you.

    Cheers, Dennis!
