I need advice on what alternatives there are to BAV's speaker replacement kit. I ordered mine months ago and all it keeps getting delayed. If they were not the only game in town for plug and play replacements I would go elsewhere.
Personally I don't understand how they stay in business. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and continue to just state another month. The season is over in the Northeast so at this point they are just holing up my other work but come on already guys....
Recommendations appreciated
Marc
A lot of folks are going to suggest you buy the components and go for it. I did just the speakers, sub and head unit and it sounds way better than stock. Just a couple of hours work to do the whole install too. There are some good solutions for keeping the stock head unit too.
Thanks I may just do that if they do not come though after Thanksgiving
BAV? or BSW?
I replaced with Hybrid Audio (Mira line) which puts out some fantastic speakers.
Now in E92 M3 ZCP -- Absolute beast
There are a ton of plug and play options. Nothing is irregular about the speakers in these cars.

BAVsoundwerks makes BSW
Hey Marc,
We definitely hear your frustration on the delays for these speakers, and apologize that you feel if we have handled it in an unprofessional manner. We are in the process of changing our supply chain around to hopefully avoid future issues with backorders such as this, and there have been some unforeseen speed bumps along the way. I can assure you they are coming, and if we can assist in anyway in the mean time please don't hesitate to contact us.
I get the feeling if you would have said that from the get-go this thread wouldn't exist (Just sayin')
