    Great e30! With the car being single stage paint you can most likely skip the wet sanding. Especially since you don't know how much paint is there.

    Well, after a month of stalling due to being too busy at my job, I've done a full buffing, polishing and a few coats of wax, new kidney grilles, new hood roundel and a new rear convertible top window. The car will be going on Craigslist later this week. I'm getting it smogged tomorrow.

    Actually, the paint is on the e30 is not single stage, but a base and clearcoat paint. At least according to the bodyshop that I took mine to. Awesome looking vert!

    Only the Metallic's were base/clear unless it was cleared by a dealer independently when new. This is why the reds, whites can be buffed. Again, this is when new...a long time ago. Most have been resprayed at some point. I think this car was already sold.
