Right Trans Fluid for a 2004 X3 US Auto?

After lots of research I have found the best option for auto trans fluid in a 04 x3 Auto with a Strasbourgh France Tag on the tranny and Bluish Green Sticker with part number 83220024359 is Synthetic Dex 6, right?

I just want to double check before I do the job.

Sounds right. Just so you know Valvoline Maxlife is DexVI. Might look into that aswell.

OP, fyi, it's a GM transmission.

i run the Amsoil ATF and its been good thus far. OEM for transfer case. and then i run amsoil gear oil in the difs.

The right fluid is what the manual calls for... Sold by BMW... Anything else is what you have concluded to be the right fluid...

it's a GM transmission. it's fine. Yes you can use BMW fluid but come on, do some research as to what other cars this transmission is in and see what they call for. Literally any DEX6 is fine.

Doubt any GM cars call for bmw tranny fluid in the manual :
