*minus the loom/relay, does anyone have a wiring diagram for this? i cant seem to find it in the wiring diagrams online.

Can you not just steal them off of a vert in the scrappers?

    Good luck!

If replicating the stock system proves too much trouble, I modified and wired up a couple one-touch window modules that can replace the comfort and hinged window relays. (You already have the comfort relay if the car has a sunroof.)

The verts roll down. He's just putting in electric pieces to pop the windows out.

It's a sweet option to have. The retrofit kit has been discontinued for a long time.

I hope it's not gonna be a problem to revive this old thread. I've a question regarding cables connection.

I'm restoring my european E36 Coupe with electric rear windows and needed to cut down a lot of cables under the driver seat and sold them since they were broken and caused short circuit back in time when the car was a daily driver.
I've a problem with soldering 2 cut cables now - red-brown - which both are going from buttons for opening/closing rear windows. One of them was connected to big blue DRM 4 relay which seems to be rear window relay and another one was connected to a small green relay. Both relays are sitting under the steering wheel and the harness looks original, however from reading the power diagram in this thread, it looks a bit different on my machine?

I'm trying to understand, if the red-brown cable from driver side rear window button should be connected to the big blue DRM 4 relay or the small green, if that matters? I'll upload some pictures soon, how it looks...

The green-black and both red cables aren't tracked, however the red-brown goes down the floor to the steering buttons.

6 cables here. 2 goes to buttons and 2 to windows motors on both sides, then a not tracked thinner black-red wire and finally the red-brown cable which also is going to the buttons in the same harness as the one from the smaller green Siemens relay.

Everything was working back in time.

I've connected the red-brown wire from both L and R buttons to the same color wire in green relay and both window motors are working. However the red-brown wire from the blue DRM relay isn't connected at all, it hangs insulated right now and as per the power diagram, it should be connected to the green relay, but isn't.

How does both motors work then? Should I connect it to the green relay instead of letting it hang forever, since everything works?

I've tracked the green-black wire and it goes to the sunroof motor and both red wires goes to the fuse box, to the same fuse.
