    Heater core un-bypass

Hey sorry to post another thread, just have some time off and trying to get everything i need to done with my car.

I just finished swapping heater cores, and i want to test to make sure this new one doesn't leak anywhere. When i bought the car the heater core was already bypassed, I've never bypassed or unbypassed one so I'm not sure how it works. I have a 96 328i.

Here are some pics of the heater core parts/hose near the firewall

I found one hose which has been plugged up and clamped as shown here:

I see 3 ports coming out of the firewall though, and i only found that one hose that was plugged. What else am i missing here? Should there be more hoses, and where does that one plug in.

    Thanks guys!

With the spit-zone climate control, you will see one out and two in. The second photo shows the heater valve, normally the hose comming from the back of the head goes into the top slot of the heater valve. The return goes back into the radiator. I would suggest you look in realoem.com under HVAC section to see the photos and what goes where exactly.
