Motiv ST N54 World record: 829whp

Not much talk of the N54 over here. Thought you guys may like this. Stock unopened N54. Beat the previous record of 753whp. All other details on graph.

    Fuel was E48.

What turbo and how much boost?
Regardless, pretty impressive for an unopened engine with an open deck aluminum block. Any drivetrain reinforcements(besides the clutch)?

Im more concerned with how long it will last.

Didn't maxpsi dyno an unopened s52 to like 750 wheel and it finally gave up?

Hard to believe unless it made that power for a very split second

I asked the same question about how are these unopened N54 holding up so far yet the numbers are impressive at the same time. Currently there is a talk of building a N54 for a goal of 900hp before attempting for the 1000 hp target.

I think with that kit you have an option of a HTA3794 or a 6466. I have no idea on the boost, I think I saw an unconfirmed 34 psi.. I think it just has a clutch as far as the drive train goes.

6466 will not get you in the 800+ zone.... are you sure it isn't a 6766 ???

Seems like it isn't uncommon for a 6466 to make those numbers on E85.

    Holy Moly unopened longblock!

Toss the 71mm turbo Mike Radowski has on there, pour in e85 and turn the boost to 40psi!

We need pump, injector, tuning secrets STAT!

The real question is...has anyone actually cracked one of these open deck aluminum blocks yet? If so...how and how many?
Where have I been? Astral projecting.

As far as I know, nobody has opened one yet and still exploring more opportunities to extract more power and to see how long these engine can last. However, I did come across one thread about a N54 build thread for high horsepower goal. Another one with a 900hp goal too.

    It's a HTA3794.

MOTIV P-1000 Fuel Setup: Designed to provide upwards of 1000hp worth of fuel and work along side the OEM HPFP system. It will include MOTIV Intake Manifold Injector Spacer, Fuel Rail, All necessary anodized fittings, E85 Compatible Fuel Line, Six Injectors, Extended Studs/Nuts for Intake Manifold and OEM Intake Manifold Gasket Set. Requires a driver to run the injectors and enough low pressure fuel to feed it. MSRP of $1300.

AEM/MOTIV Engine Management System: Engineered to work along side the OEM DME without issue while controlling boost and drive the P-1000 injectors. The EMS includes MAC, MAP Sensor, MOTIV built Harness and EMS 4. Each AEM/MOTIV EMS comes preloaded with a PTF tuned base calibration that enable the vehicle to run and drive but requires fine tuning for each individual setup. MSRP of $1200.

FUEL-IT!/MOTIV LPFP System: developed and tested in collaboration with FUEL-IT! we have a system capable of supporting over 1000hp worth of fuel and eliminate the weaknesses we have found with the stock fuel system. Includes dual in-tank 455lph fuel pumps, hoses/lines, OEM fuel pressure regulator delete and a new style fuel pressure regulator. MSRP is To Be Determined as of this moment but we hope to have this available within this week.

MOTIV turbocharger kits: The MOTIV turbo charger kits will includes Turbo, manifold, downpipe, wastegate, EWG Recirc into downpipe, intake, intake filter, heat Shield, PCV Connection, FMIC hot pipe, engine Mount, CNC water housing and Oil Lines.

    The MOTIV600 kit features a HTA3076 turbocharger.
    The MOTIV750 kit features a HTA3586 turbocharger.
The MOTIV900 kit features your choice of HTA3794 or PTE6466 turbocharger.
Not many failed blocks also. Actually i can't recall if someone had a block failure (seen rod hole on block though). The myth about aluminum open block doesn't last is well a myth. It's all about managing heat and with the new technology they sure do manage heat.

Awesome numbers... Do we expect the bottom end to last or is this a proof of concept thing?

Who decided on E48? They need to read all the whitepapers out there. There's very few advantages of ethanol mixes under 55-60% in regards to knock suppression.

Regardless, I'd be curious to know the expected longevity of this.

You know, I've heard this before. But it doesn't make any sense to me. Where is this documentation you're referring to?

One would think that the addition of a higher octane, higher latent heat fluid would only help in any concentration. I don't understand what would suddenly change around 60%.

Last time that I was reading about e85 over in the supra world, it seemed like anything over e70, and it was game on.

bumping this thread back just because I saw some questions in here.. I was reading the reason the n54 guys don't run anything over e60 really is because they get the most power out of the e50 mix. Supposedly e85 acts totally different on Direct port vs Direct injection. any body have more info on this?
