If I can offer one bit for you to try? I am by no means a good photographer, but try isolating your subject more either by focusing in on a portion of the vehicle to highlight something specific or by stopping down to blur the background. See what that does for you.

If I can offer one bit for you to try? I am by no means a good photographer, but try isolating your subject more either by focusing in on a portion of the vehicle to highlight something specific or by stopping down to blur the background. See what that does for you.

I have to get really close - all I have is a 35mm lens. The 928 was shot at F4, which generally gets me better results than at F2. But it's pretty wide - full frame @ 35mm. Closer, closer, closer is what I need to remember.

Here's one from '08.



This I switched to F7.1 because I wanted those damn birds in the shot, otherwise F4 would have done the trick. I didn't want to risk washing them out, or freezing them completely. As I shot it that old idiom popped into my head - 'birds of a feather flock together.' I believe I have the same shot at F4, but there are no birds (!!!).
I'm a rule-breaker though, baby.
