    Looking to finally up the boost, lets throw some ideas around

    Alright, I finally got my shitboat back on the road after 4 months and seeing as I have a track meet coming up at the end of October I want to see what I can do in the 1/4 mile with a bit more boost. I figure I can just modify my stock wastegate with the bolt, hole and two nut trick to preload the wastegate spring more. What is commonly used for RRFPR's, BEGi?



    I'm looking into adding an AEM UEGO as a wideband to monitor everything, it seems the AEM is the most user friendly.

    I like the AEM. No silly atmosphere calibration like the Innovate unit.
    I make E23 parts.

    I've heard the LC1 is a major PITA, which is why I'm thinking of going with the AEM

    How is the fuel delivery system? Stock inline is only 130lph

    You sure the catalyst flows well?

    Some people like the aem, I've personally had two and didn't like them. I thought the first one was a fluke. I do like the round gauge look for a more installed feel, but if you just want to check everything and don't mind a square setup I'd pop for a afx.

    Tried and true is walbro, cartech rrfpr, and aem. I assume u already have boost gauge. Other fpr and af may work of course. Also new plugs, rotor n cap, clean injectors and adjustable wg if u wanna go all out.

    This + a chip. You are probably ok with just the cartech rrfpr and WB (AEM 6-1 UEGO is what I have and love it). I just installed the Walbro inline 255 a couple of months ago for the extra comfort, but it was not needed.

    2.93's. At this time I'm not really looking to do a diff swap unless I came across an unbelievable good deal for a L/S case.

    I use Zeitronix ZT-2 in my M5.

    Nice feature is that it has data logging, so you can wire in TPS, AFM, manifold pressure, EGT, etc and log it along with AFR. It's a good system for those that haven't gone stand alone yet.

    Has anyone actually confirmed with #s/logs that you need a RRFPR? I thought potentially with the 3bar for fuel you would be fine as the stock k27 moves about as much air as a 97 year old grandmother with asthma.

    I'd rather play it safe then try to reinvent the wheel since I'm not in the position of blowing my motor for science. If I had a working wideband on my car right now I'd see how fat it runs up top. Logic dictates more air requires more fuel.

    I was still in the 12s on my WB at 10psi with the 2.5 bar regular. By 6000rpm you are into the low 10s.

    I have an Innovate LC-1 with only a few hours of use on it that I suppose I could let you borrow. I kind of hate it but it does work - as long as you don't try to reprogram the outputs - the damn thing uses a serial cable not USB, and with a USB to serial converter, whenever I tried to reprogram the outputs it would completely screw up the LC-1's calibration and I'd have to reset it to the defaults. For just running a gauge it's fine. I was trying to use it to send data to an ecm at the time and that's when it went in a box in my basement

    All I need it to do is tell me the A/F, any datalogging will just tell me that "this cars EFI is moronic!" yeah I know thanks LC-1.
