Remove roller blind Z3 M Coupe

    Hi,

    First post. Got a Z3 M Coupe -99.

Have anyone removed the roller blind in the trunk? (Nr 1 at picture.)
    http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/Z3...partition_net/

Previous owner had installed subwoofer in the trunk that I want to remove.
I got all original parts but don't know how to remove the roller blind.

    Could anyone help me?

Remove the 2 end cap covers (#3) by pulling up. They're only held on with metal clips. Remove exposed nuts. Lift and remove.

the concept of removing is easy, but if you run into the situation where the roller blind was torqued down too much and the mounting holes are deformed it took a while to pop up without ruining the rest of the interior.

If the windows are tinted with film on the inside, be very careful when lifting it out; it's wider than the hatch opening, so you have to rotate it somewhat to remove.

Waiting on next question about how to remove the subwoofer covers...

Thanks for the response. I was afraid I would ruin the plastic cover. Previous owner had used double sided tape / glue.

Ok, Randy how do I remove the Subwoofer covers?
