Ok well I figured I should give an update on the seat install. I have successfully installed the facelift seats in my z3 with ease of install surprisingly. I simply cut the plugs off the pre-facelift seats and wired them onto the the facelift seats. All you Genuine BMW don't flame me, it had to be done.
So the power wires for the motors are the same, simply match the colors.
For the seat heaters it's almost easier. The wires come from the car are brown and white, the wires coming from the seat are now brown and white. Match the wires on each side of the plug and presto you have seat heaters.
For the pretensioner and the seat belt indicator just use your old ones if you don't have them on the seats (mine did not come with buckles). The seats I bought came with the passenger pressure sensor box thing so I just simply plugged the car harness into it.
And that there is the way to do it.
I also utilized the old seats and made a set of sweet gaming seats.
And of course pictures.
And a bonus of the whole car.
Nice job, they look much better in your car than in my basement. Glad to see they made it out to you in one piece

You have a US model Z3 in Germany? I take it you're stationed there? They let you freely bring us market cars for your use there? Or am I missing a large part of the picture?
Looks great though!

328 power, yes I'm stationed here. Yes you can have your car shipped over. My z3 is us spec luckily so I can take it back. It's funny that we can bring our cars from the states here and sell them to Germans no problem. But we can't take German spec cars back unless they are over 25 years old.
I've got a set of seats I'm going to put down in my 'man cave'. I'm planning on mounting them on top of an old set of rims I've got--I think it'll look really nice when I'm done, but I've got to finish off the basement first.
Good job on the seat retrofit. I did the same thing in reverse a number of years ago now (earlier seats in a later car). Never again. I'm not as ambitious as I was when I first got the car.
Nice idea. Maybe I'll do that with mine.
Your car needs some roll bars and to paint that side grill man!!! Looks good though

+1 the side gill should be better in red. IMO
They are kinda growing on me in black honestly.......
Yea it wasn't hard either just used large enough bolts to hold the wheels in.
Next trick is to add 12 volt power for up/down and seat heat!

Either way, it's a coupe. Looks great. Many ppl here are not fond of my body kit since its not OEM. But I love it. 😁 as long as we care for our coupes. That's what matters.
I removed all the electronics because they were unneeded. Just reclining now. Plus I had to cut them to mod the new seats wiring. Still need to clean up the wiring under the new seats however. No Airbag light so thats good.
