Yanked the ls1/t-56 combo out of the donor ws6 I bought. Now I need to yank the s52 out of the m3 and we can do a test fit.
E53 LSX Swap Coming Soon!
There's already other kits out for the e30.

Fitment and ease of install was great with the cx racing kit.
Fitment looks pretty good!
The price is really good . . . I almost (not really) would change out the 302 for 4.8 I have in my E36.
Look forward to the real world updates!! Thanks for the pics thus far Btroxl

So much want.

Awesome, I'm using the same kit. Were the headers installed with the motor installed? I'm assuming so based off the pictures.
Real world the abs pump needs to at least be moved. Not seen in the pics but I’ve moved my pump as close to the fender as possible while still keeping it close to its original location (moved it aprox 1”). Also I’m not sure yet but I may get the headers ceramic coated. The kit is inexpensive compared to the other kits out there and the quality is surprisingly good.

yes, but next time id try and put the motor in with the headers on, even if I had to drop the subframe to do it.
Did you have to cut the trans tunnel to get the shifter through?

Is there a reference picture of how much to cut? I'd like to cut the majority of what's needed before I install the engine and trans.
I have cleaned this thread for the 3rd time. I would appreciate it if it could stay about the product being discussed. Please keep comparisons to other company products out of this thread. If you feel like you cant let it go, then please start a new thread comparing products/prices/qualities.
I am on the market for buying a swap kit to put my ls1 in my e36 m3 and understand there are better build quality kits but unfortunately I don't have the budget for that price range. Is there anyone out there who has bought and installed this kit that has relative information on whether or not there are any major concerns if I choose this kit? Does anybody have any recommendation for wire harness setups as well? I saw a ls1 to e36 wire harness on eBay for under $800. Thanks for any input
with the csx kit, since the engine isn't 100% centered what is everyone using as a driveshaft?
Looks pretty decent :shrugs

Update to this old thread, be careful with this kit, im currently building my project with their full kit. The main problem is the poor design of the motor mounts, there is no way you can install the engine straight with the frame with these mounts(you can see it on the pictures in this thread btw), they also offer poor support on the subframe as the base of the mounts is flat. If you dont mind thats ok. We modify them to our taste by welding shims under the base, move some holes, grind, etc....
They are a good startup point but i would not have run them this way since they are installed on my track car....
You get what you pay for, if you dont want to mess with the motor mounts etc....You better buy a more $$$ kit like vorshlag.....
Just my 2 cents.
Anyone using their full exhaust? Headers -> Midpipe (Y-Pipe) -> Catback? If so on what model e36 and hows the fitment/quality?
Using this minus the headers
