Honeycomb Grill will it fit an M bumper

Looking at Gherys thread showing his new paint job his honeycomb grill caught my eye.
When I inquired about it I got the following response

"I installed the black honeycomb grill from the 2001-2002 Z3 Coupe into a 2.8 bumper and it fits perfectly and looks great!
The honeycomb grill is part number 51-11-7-016-906 and cost me $36.62 at South Motors.
The fasteners (spring clips) are part number 64-11-1-364-257 and cost $.27 each at South Motors. I believe that you need 22 total, but order 25 to have some extra."

Has anyone attempted to install this grill into an Z3 M bumper, looks cool and I'm wondering if it'd fit ??

This may be a short-term board-memory thing here, but I seem to recall that tyler came up with something similar over at neverdonegarage...

Of course it's actually more expensive than the OEM unit, but if that becomes NLA like so many low-volume parts, the neverdone one might be a good alternative, designed to fit the M.

I'd been looking for that link for The Manifesto all day!
It seems there is both an M version and non-M version on the site and the fitment for sure is different between the two.
