    S52 top end gaskets?

I need a bit of help.

I already have a headgasket to be installed.

What I want, is a gasket kit for everything else that would be changed along the way to replacing the headgasket.

So, is there a BMW part number for such a kit?

OR, is this a better option-is it OEM quality and or the same manufacturer that BMW uses-just no BMW PN? This is just the valve cover though, really looking for the whole she-bang.

I think most sets will include the head gasket. Victor Reinz is a pretty good one - otherwise I think you'll be ordering single parts.

    There is a complete kit.

Ecstuning supplied me with one when I needed.

I was suggested that both elring klinger and victor reinz are oem manufacturers- elring apparently has lower failing rate.

    That's the one I Installed.

    Great info-thankS!

    Which did you buy?

What do I need besides the valve cover gasket set for $40 anyway? Might as well maybe piece together what I need if it runs me under $200. My intake manifold gaskets are maybe 2 years old, header gaskets are about 2 years old. Looks like the VC gasket, vanos gasket-that's about it.

I decided to buy a full kit from a forum sponsor.

So if anyone needs it, I will have a new stock S52 headgasket for sale at a good price.

Interesting thing about the ETK and BMW parts; yes, they do offer a head gasket "set" but in many cases (if not all) it does not include the head gasket itself...

That's right boys and girls, if you're ordering parts to do a valve job on your BMW, you can order an original BMW head gasket set, but don't forget to order the actual BMW head gasket itself.

Ask me how I know, if you haven't already figured it out...

I would have preferred that be the case, but the one I bought does in fact come with the HG itself.
