    Lower Grill Options

I am in the process of replacing my daughters Z3 bumper and need to know if there are grill options I can compare. I am debating trying to fabricate one myself as I am handy with a welder and the like.

I am considering using 3/16" stainless round bar but would like to know if there is something already available. I have searched the forums and the net but only come up with a couple options.

    Can someone help?

There is a black plastic mesh one that is OE to the later model Z's. I have it on mine. Bought it from bimmerbum years ago; looks like it is still available:

This. Bought the M version for my car a couple of weeks and love it. The material is much better than the OEM crap.

    Joe,

Does the bumper need to come off for assembly?

    Thanks,

If I remember well, the M bumper grille is also different from the non-M one.

Did the OEM mesh p/n 51-11-7-016-906 on our 3.0 & I like the look. The spring nuts to attach it is p/n 64-11-1-364-257. Still thinking about adding a pair of 4" driving lamps in there but not yet.

Just saw this, sorry Terry. No you can do it from the bottom or if you pop the hood you have access to the grill also.
