Doing rear brakes on a 2013 VW Tiguan . need to contract/release calipers with scanner. They are electronic brake calipers . have heard of local shops compressing them the old fashion way . not good on a $600 caliper.

Yea, just about all the newer cars are like that now. Its so annoying to do the brakes with the scanner hooked up. In my experience you also need to have a battery tender hooked up because being in the computer without the car running kills the battery pretty fast. Then you get to charge the battery and start all over again.

CJ, you had custom fmic piping correct? I'm only seeing 5lbs of boost and between 10 and 15 lbs of vacuum. Boost/vacuum leak? Or are my super awesome riot cams flowing so much air that I lose 7psi? I may have to borrow the smoke tester and see if I'm leaking anywhere. Butt dyno feela good, but not where I think it should be.

He had water/air with very short boost hoses. With FMIC, expect some loss compared to what is specified for the pulley and no IC. Varies depending on IC. One guy in the FI section did some testing and found a big range. He ended up using a certain treadstone IC. Boost leaks are common when sorting out a FI car. I'd start there. RR cams may or may not cost boost. If any, it should not be much -- like 1 psi. They are regrinds along the lines of mild Shrick profiles.
Butt dyno is not the most reliable. Calibrations vary tremendously.
