    identify these wires on m50 wiring harness

    marked with blue, red, and green- what are they?

    Blu & red go to + post on R. side of LHD model. (the jump-start terminal next to firewall)

    Pretty sure Green is starter solenoid.

    I've not double-checked- so do so before hooking anything up.

    ...now good luck with the two harnesses right of the starter solenoid cables-- they have identical connectors- AMHIK. (I believe it's those two-- anyway, there are two identical looking harnesses on that side, about the same length).

    If you need help with those- LMK and I'll look up the wire color in the Bentley manual.

    Good call on the starter solenoid. Looks like one of the wires on the left of my pic is positive and the other is a ground. I popped open the rat's nest and there was a large red and a large brown wire (among others) coming in from that branch. The one farther out the branch was the brown. Does that sound right?

    You are correct- sorry I didn't catch that right off; I forgot about that ground. And the longer one is the ground cable, because it's mounting point is a bit further away.
