rims size spacers and offsets ?? where is the info?

My 95 325ic has rims from the 01 -06 325i on it. 16" start alloys with a 47 offset.. thats what I found through everything. But. I cant seem to find the size that came standard on it. I know I want like a 35 - 32 offset. But I dnt want to possibly float the wheel out too far from the hub as I think would cause mechanical problems I assume, correct? Would the current rim be okay with a 12 mm spacer, or would I have to spend a car on rims and tires?

U could probably do from 10-15mm but u would wanna use longer bolts too. Wait til the tires are done then buy used wheels with tires for cheap.
