This is for the second generation aka face lift European E23s. If anyone has the information for the torpedo style fuses in the early E23s (think W126 Mercedes or E28s), post up the information too please.
More often than not these cars are full of hack repairs over the years, verify you have the correct fuse ratings in your box... in the correct order. It is different than the US box.

I made a double sided card with a picture of the fuse box with numbers, and the ratings on the other side, all covered in packing tape like WT lamination.
Keep in in the glove box.

im looking to check my fuel pump relay to see if its bad, car will crank but not start, when it starts it runs for maybe a second then dies. checked the fuel pump fuse and its good.
where can i find this relay? i've searched everywhwere and nothing is really coming up in my favor

Which year is your E23? On my '84, the FP relay is clipped to the outside of the fuse box, along with the main relay. I've had other BMWs where it's mounted above the glove box, inside the car. Check out the wire colors coming into the relay socket - the main relay will have a thick red wire coming in, and a red/white wire going to the FP relay. The FP relay has green/yellow coming in and green/violet wire heading out to power the pumps. Check the in-tank lift pump wiring connector too - they have a habit of pulling apart internally.

BTW - thanks again for this chart, it really helped me out. I'm sure it's been very helpful to other E23'ers.
I believe "K10" is the wiper motor relay, and mine is missing this. This would be the reason my windshield washers work, but not my wipers, correct?
I would say affirmative. That is the wiper interval relay.
