HALF of one of my LED Angel Eyes ring went off or burnt ??

Hey,
Today, for some reason, on the driver side, there is half of one of my angel eyes that went off ?

I have got DEPO headlights with 60Led per eyes aftermarket.
Always worked fine.

And now they splitted right in the middle, so my angel eyes look like this :

(o)(o) BMW (o) o) ----> Not boobies, for those wondering.

Anyone has any clue what could have caused this, as well as how can I know if they are burnt or simply went off ??

The same thing has happened to me. Mine came from BavToys. It has a loose connection, tapping it will make it come on and off. However I do not know how to fix it. I have had it apart 4 times.

each angel eye ring has 2 led boards joined at the 6 o'clock position, you have to re solder the 2 connections bridging the 2 boards and your problem will be solved.

Same thing happened on my X5. Chalk it up to cheap build quality.

I can't wait to tear mine out and smash them with a hammer.

I took the angel eye out this moring and I see the two solder joints. Just to make sure the two joints should not be touching, right? Just solder over the two existing joints?

Here is a picture of the back of the angel eye ring. There doesn't appear to be any break in the solder. But when moved 1/2 of ring goes off and on.

It's the joint area. Just re solder it.
