    E36 LED Tach/Speedo

Well, I got bored with the orange cluster. I know studies were done saying the color bmw chose was easier on the eyes at night, etc. I just did it for the sake of doing it, coolness, and fun.

Here is the basic schematic that I did modify a little for the sweeping startup action, I will further note that the signal filtering was removed for the speedometer side. If people are interested in trying this, I'll try to provide as much detail as possible. Untill then, its just for show .

I'v probably spend nearly $200 in parts and supplies to achieve this. I do have plenty of extra parts so it can be done a little cheaper yes. Mistakes happen and you will need extras

    Wow. I'm impressed.
You call that schematic basic? Damn, I would like to see what you call complex, lol.
Anyway, not my taste in colors but mad props to you for doing this. Very well done sir.

definatly not a fan of the colour, i really like the amber, but apart from that its VERY cool. The same thing in amber instead of white and blue would be awesome. Really good job!

I am planning on doing this with amber LEDs. If you add resistors you can also adjust the brightness on them. Thanks for the detailed schematics!

Bravo, good work no matter the color...and this is not basic wiring..I know
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different, because I was important in the life of a child.
