    X5 - 2010 - faulty rear camera

Great forum you got here !

    I got a 2010 X5 with a faulty rear camera !

It just does not work at times when I reverse !

here is the link to a YouTube video I took of the problem :
    http://youtu.be/IwDjf8dv6bI

Took to the dealer for more than 3 times over the past year and they did not have a clue. Everytime they claim it is fixed, but it is not !

I sent an email to BMW and they are useless ! Almost 3 weeks since I emailed them and they are not replying nor seem to have a clue !

Did anyone else face the same problem !!?

I know that at the plant we have to replace the coax that connects the cam to the trsvc module.

We've done about a half-dozen of these over the past year or so. However, the cable replacement scenario is usually because of a flickering image, not a non-funtioning siutation.

The SIB Stanley mentioned is for a non-functioning rear camera and involves reprogramming.

OP: What repairs has the dealer done to address this?

That is true about the flickering....
I would see if the dealer has tried a new module and if not ask them to see if that fixes the problem.
